News and Announcements from the Superintendent

May 12, 2008

These past two weeks have been filled with many positives for Cherokee Central Schools. Deb and Ellen are to be commended for the excellent planning of the Academic Awards Banquet, the planning was only upstaged by the accomplishments of the students we honored. The DARE graduation was wonderful and much appreciation is extended to the Cherokee Police Department for their help this year, but we want to eSpecially remember Karla for her leadership and the elementary staff for their assistance.

A Night of Cherokee was reflective of what we want to pass on to new generations. Laura and her staff are to be thanked for the efforts in safe guarding the Cherokee Culture. Remembering grandparents is something we all do and should do. The Elementary program was very nice.

If you missed the Band Concert or the opening of the Art Show, you missed a treat. Rebe, Alyne, and Bud thanks for working with our talented students. Kurt the band concert was excellent.

The drummers have contributed to several programs this week.

CHEROKEE TALENT IS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!
